Abstract

The objective of this work was to determine the average annual increment (IMA) of KhayanyasicaStapf Ex Baker F in plantations, being one of the species with the greatest contribution in the economy of the agroforestry company Ciénaga de Zapata for the volume of wood that contributes to the secondary processing industry of wood. To develop the work we used the data from 37 plots of which 3 were permanent sampling (PPM), which have made possible to determine the increments in diameter and height where the species has developed satisfactorily in soilsfrom carbonate pardos to red ferralitic The obtained results show that the Khayanyasica have good development in the site conditions of the study area, which guarantees to continue promoting the species due to its growth in diameter and height for its use in the industry.
